Beach Modern Getaways

What is it that gives these living spaces such character and an exotic island feel? Louvered windows and doors of course! Louvers are something that I have come to love. The more I see them, the more they evoke that faraway place of peace and rest. I think they are equally suited for modern or traditional design. In most of these rooms, if you took them out, the room would just be ho hum...
I put them at the top of the list of elements which help make a brillant beach-modern getaway.
